Canadian Hunting Services

Newfoundland Hunting Services:

Western Newfoundland Canada boasts the densest populations of moose and woodland caribou in North America as well as some of the largest species of black bear in the world! Experience with one of our highly skilled guides prepared to lead you to the location best suited to harvesting superior trophy black bear, moose and woodland caribou.

For guests who finish their hunt early we provide the opportunity to fish for some of Newfoundland's famous brook trout and Atlantic salmon in the spring and small game hunting in the fall. We will customize your hunting or fishing excursion to the number of days you have available and your choice of species with the funds you wish to spend.

The range of signature services offered at Mitchell's Pond Hunting and Fishing include:

  • Highly skilled guides, professionally licensed and trained to deliver outstanding guided hunting adventure.
  • Meticulous meat cleaning, packaging and shipment.
  • Professional taxidermy services are also provided by a trained member of our staff.
  • Insulated polystyrene boxes and frozen gel packs are available at the base camp for guests who choose to pack their game meat for the trip home themselves.
  • All Newfoundland Canada guided hunt prices include airport pick-up, accommodations, expert guides, food, transportation, taxes, license, meat packaging and trophy preparation.

As soon as your kill is made, the rest is up to us. Mitchell's Pond Hunting and Fishing Outfitters observes strict protocol to ensure that your meat and trophy is properly handled; all game is meticulously cleaned and removed to a sanitary cold storage facility, then packed in polystyrene containers for safe shipment by air or in your own vehicle.

Professional taxidermy services are also provided by a trained member of our staff. Guests may either leave your trophy with us or we will make arrangements for you transport your finished trophy with you at your time of departure.

Insulated polystyrene boxes and frozen gel packs are available at the base camp for guests who choose to pack their game meat for the trip home themselves. To ensure that your meat will arrive home in excellent condition (ready to freeze or distribute to your friends and colleagues); assistance is provided to make the necessary air cargo arrangements with Air Canada.

Our goal is to ensure that our guest depart with a legendary big game hunting experience, impressive trophies to be enjoyed for generations and the kinship of others who delight in the thrill of the hunt.
